* Our Standard scans are cleaned with compressed deionized air to remove surface dust. We scan on an Imacon 949 scanner and save as 16-bit, 120 Mb files (approximately). Scans are full frame and will include a small area outside the image. Scans are burned to a DVD or in the case of large quantities saved to a free hard drive. Shipping is charged at our cost plus a packaging fee. We ship via FedEx, UPS and California Overnight. Please let us know which courier and which service you prefer. Any spotting, cropping, rotation or corrective work will move Standard scans into the Managed scans category. | |||||||||

Reflective or transparent scans with custom tonal adjustments. Your scans are saved in the Ektaspace™ color space unless otherwise requested, and burned to a CD at no additional charge. Drum scans are suggested for projects involving publications, large size output or when shadow or highlight detail is critical. Maximum original size 14x18" and must be able to be wrapped around a drum.
Heidelberg Tango 16 Bit scanning
Drum scanning is now offered as 16bit files at the same price as 8bit files. What this means is that for the same $39 you paid for a 100Mb 8 bit scan previously you now receive a 200Mb 16bit scan containing 281 trillion total possible colors instead of the 8 bit scan with ?only? 16.7 million different combinations.
